Kathleen will provide a practical overview of tips and tricks to ensure timely payment throughout a project and what to do when payment is not made or disputed. Issues discussed will include proactive steps at the outset of a project, warning signs and red flags, payment disputes and a brief primer on constructor’s liens.

Kathleen is a partner at McLennan Ross LLP and the co-chair of the firm’s construction industry group. Kathleen’s practice focuses on various litigation arising in the construction context. She has represented owners, general contractors, project consultants and sub-contractors. Her work includes arbitrations and litigation through the Alberta court system.
