We have a very exciting fundraising event coming up at the beginning of December. The Prohibition Soiree celebrates the 91st anniversary (December 5th, 1933) of the 21st amendment!In spirit of the era, LWVGJA will celebrate this milestone in our country’s history with libations and a lecture by a local author on December 5th, 6pm at an undisclosed location. The lecture's time period will be over the beginning of the Temperance Movement during the Civil War era.
6-6:30 Mingle and drinks (Food and drinks are available for purchase at the venue. This helps to allow the money from the fundraiser to go to LWVGJA.)
6:30 – 7 – LWV news and special game
7: 7:30 – Local author to speak and Q&A about Prohibition
Space is limited at this fundraising event!
Suggested donation is $10 in advance for individuals or 15 in Advance for couples. An extra $10 dollar donation will get you a character sheet, special covert invitation before the event and a special item when you arrive at our secret event location.
Dressing in 1920’s/1930s themes is encouraged, but not required.
