Join us for the Winter Solstice 24-Hour Walkathon on December 21st, starting at midnight! This walkathon is a chance to reconnect with our community, explore Joplin, and set personal records (PRs) for walking. Whether you walk for a few hours or push yourself to the full 24, the goal is for everyone to set their own PR, even if that means taking a well-deserved nap along the way!Starting and ending at JB’s Clubhouse, we’ll walk through Joplin, with a focus on meaningful conversations and community engagement.
What to Expect:
Starting Point: JB's Clubhouse, 1208 S Main St, Joplin, MO
You can join or leave at any time throughout the day and night.
Whether you’re aiming for the full 24 hours or just a few miles, the challenge is to push yourself to a new personal best.
Bring comfortable shoes, plenty of water, and be ready to walk, talk, and connect with others.
Purpose: This walkathon isn’t just about walking—it's about rediscovering Joplin, reconnecting with others, and reflecting on the places and people that make our community what it is. Along the way, we’ll see both the beauty and the challenges in our city, and by moving together, we hope to inspire change and connection.
