OUTGROW THE SYSTEM - Beyond the narrow mainstream debate and the teachings of business schools, numerous new economic ideas and practices are emerging. They challenge old assumptions and offer fresh perspectives on how we can reorganize our production and consumption to ensure our survival as a species on this planet.

Outgrow the System aims to bring these transformative ideas to the forefront, delving into the pressing question of what a sustainable economy could look like and drawing attention to innovative economic perspectives. It celebrates the abundance of creativity and ideas that exist worldwide, advocating that they collide and converge, and envisions a world where social movements around the globe can rally behind positive visions instead of opposing dystopias. DON'T PULL US APART! - When Corn, Bean, and Squash are forced to grow apart on a “perfect” farm, the three vegetable sisters fight back and discover that they’re stronger together.

Don’t Pull Us Apart! was inspired by the book Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. In one of the chapters about the Three Sisters agricultural tradition practiced by Indigenous peoples of North America, the sister plants corn, bean, and squash relied on each other’s strengths to help each other grow. Corn grows tall, acting as a natural pole for the beans to climb. Beans fix nitrogen in the soil, feeding all three plants. Squash spreads along the ground, its broad leaves shading out weeds and retaining soil moisture. (6m, 2026, Director: Linh Phung)
