Join us for the official drop-off day for the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association Profitability Challenge! This program gives producers a unique opportunity to gain real-world performance and profitability data on their cattle while engaging the next generation of beef industry leaders through an FFA “Fantasy Feeding” competition.Steer Requirements:
• Only steers, 500–750 lbs. at delivery
• Birth date: 1/15/25–4/15/25
• Weaned: 8/15/25–10/15/25
• Two rounds of shots (at least one modified live)
• BVD-PI negative, polled/dehorned, and castrated prior to weaning
• Must be entered in the ASA database (MCA can assist)
Producer Requirements:
• Must be an MCA member and BQA certified
• Must have an ASA account (MCA can assist)
Producers Receive:
• Monthly feed intake updates via GrowSafe technology
• Final carcass and performance data report
Program Highlights:
• MCA purchases steers at 50% market value (based on two-day average weight)
• FFA “Fantasy Feeding” component
• Feedyard open house and MU performance seminar in 2025
