Mae'r Athro Anne Nortcliffe yn wyddonydd ail genhedlaeth ac yn beiriannydd trydedd cenhedlaeth. Datblygodd Anne o fod yn dechnegydd profi deunydd i'w thad pan oedd yn blentyn, i arwain tîm peirianneg awyrofod academaidd, ac ymlaen i sefydlu Ysgol Peirianneg, Technoleg a Dylunio ym Mhrifysgol Canterbury Christ Church.


Mae arweinyddiaeth strategol Anne yn amlwg fel Deon newydd Cyfadran y Celfyddydau, Cyfrifiadureg a Pheirianneg ym Mhrifysgol Wrecsam. Mae'n dwyn ynghyd ei diddordebau proffesiynol a phersonol, cyfleoedd, synergeddau traws-ddisgyblaethol gwirioneddol a chreadigrwydd mewn pynciau STEAM. O dan ei harweiniad hi, mae'r Gyfadran yn arddel addysgeg greadigol, addysg gynhwysol a chynaliadwy, arloesi ac ymchwil sy'n cael ei feithrin gyda chydweithwyr mewn diwydiant lleol er mwyn dod â budd i'r holl bartneriaid a chefnogi twf rhanbarthol ac economaidd.


Mae Anne yn cael ei chydnabod yn genedlaethol ac wedi ennill gwobrau am ei chyfraniadau i amrywiaeth rhywedd o fewn gwaith adeiladu a pheirianneg. Fel ymchwilydd technoleg addysg cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol profiadol, mae Anne yn frwd dros ddatblygu'r arferion addysg peirianneg a chyfrifiadureg gorau er budd pawb.

Bydd y ddarlith yn darparu mewnwelediad i sut i greu addysg gynhwysol sy'n delio gyda ac yn cael effaith bositif ar y ffrwd dalent o'r dechrau i'r diwedd, gan gynnwys deilliannau cyflogaeth graddedigion a thu hwnt. Byddwch chi, y gynulleidfa, yn cael mewnwelediad i sut allwch chi gyfrannu mewn ffordd ragweithiol tuag at greu cymuned gynhwysol ac ystyried datrysiadau i broblemau sydd o fudd i'r gymdeithas, gan gael traweffaith positif ar bobl, ac ar economïau rhanbarthol a chenedlaethol.

About Anne

Professor Anne Nortcliffe is a second-generation scientist and third-generation engineer. Anne progressed from being her father's material testing technician as a child to leading an academic aerospace engineering team to founding the School of Engineering, Technology, and Design at Canterbury Christ Church University.


Anne's strategic leadership is evident as the new Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Computing, and Engineering at Wrexham University. She brings together her professional and personal interests, opportunities, true trans-discipline synergies, and creativity in STEAM subjects. Under her guidance, the Faculty embraces creative pedagogy, inclusive and sustainable education, innovation, and research fostered with local industry collaborations to benefit all partners and support regional and national economic growth.


Anne is nationally recognised, having won awards for her contributions to gender diversity in construction and engineering. As an experienced national and international education technology researcher, Anne passionately develops the best engineering and computing education practices to benefit all.


About the Lecture

The lecture will provide insight into how to engineer an inclusive education that addresses and positively impacts the talent pipeline from start to finish, including graduate employment outcomes and beyond. You, the audience, will gain insight into how you can actively contribute to creating an inclusive community and consider solutions to problems that benefit society, positively impacting people, and regional and national economies.
