About this Event
Professional Workshop Series: Chalk Artist Skills and Techniques
Tualatin Valley Creates (TVC) offers workshops as a way for artists to connect while learning about important and interesting topics in the arts. In April TVC is offering the workshop Chalk Artist Skills and Techniques, with workshop presenters and chalk artists, Carrie Green and Raziah Roushan.
This workshop, sponsored by the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) will provide artists with the skills and techniques to thrive in the large-scale, performative medium of chalk art. By the end of the workshop artists will gain the confidence to create captivating chalk art entries for the La Strada Chalk Art Festival, scheduled for July 19-20, 2025.
By offering hands-on instruction, demonstration, and creative exercises, the workshop aims to inspire participants to explore the art form of chalk drawing and provide them with an opportunity to apply for a spot in the regional festival. The workshop will be held at the M&M Marketplace, 346 SW Walnut St, Hillsboro, OR 97123. The M&M Marketplace is a valuable community resource and TVCreates is fortunate to have them as a partner for this workshop!
