About the session
Carmarthenshire County Council spends approximately £440 million each year on goods, works and services. This Procurement Clinic is designed to help social businesses and social enterprises better understand how to access, navigate and succeed in the Council’s procurement processes.
The session will explore how procurement works within the Welsh legislative framework, including the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act and the Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Act 2023, and how social value is embedded throughout public sector commissioning.
This is a practical, interactive workshop that will support local organisations to feel more confident engaging with public procurement and contributing to Carmarthenshire’s social, economic and community outcomes.

Ynghylch y sesiwn
Mae Cyngor Sir Caerfyrddin yn gwario tua £440 miliwn y flwyddyn ar nwyddau, gwaith a gwasanaethau. Mae’r Clinig Caffael hwn wedi’i gynllunio i helpu busnesau cymdeithasol a mentrau cymdeithasol i ddeall yn well sut i gael mynediad at, llywio a llwyddo ym mhrosesau caffael y Cyngor.
Bydd y sesiwn yn archwilio sut mae caffael yn gweithredu o fewn fframwaith deddfwriaethol Cymru, gan gynnwys Deddf Llesiant Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol (Cymru) a Deddf Partneriaeth Gymdeithasol a Chaffael Cyhoeddus (Cymru) 2023, a sut mae gwerth cymdeithasol yn cael ei ymgorffori drwy gomisiynu’r sector cyhoeddus.
Mae hon yn gweithdy ymarferol a rhyngweithiol a fydd yn cefnogi sefydliadau lleol i deimlo’n fwy hyderus wrth ymgysylltu â chaffael cyhoeddus ac i gyfrannu at ganlyniadau cymdeithasol, economaidd a chymunedol Sir Gaerfyrddin.
