Princess Angeline "Kikisoblu" Tea

Join us for a special afternoon at the Duwamish Longhouse on April 5th from 11 am to 1 pm, for the annual Princess Angeline Tea Party. This year’s event will feature Tami Hohn, an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Washington (UW) Department of American Indian Studies. As a member of the Puyallup Tribe, Tami Hohn teaches the Southern Lushootseed language and previously served as the first Native Knowledge In Residence Coordinator for UW’s Center for American Indian and Indigenous Studies.

In honor of Princess Angeline, a portion of the proceeds from each ticket sale will be donated to the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) nationwide initiative, through the Women Spirit Coalition—a local organization dedicated to supporting the safety of Native women.

Guests will enjoy a handmade, English-style afternoon tea, complete with tea sandwiches, petit fours, and desserts. Native tea will be served, as well as a variety of English teas. Limited seating is available, and advance ticket purchase is required as no additional seats will be available at the door. This is an opportunity to support a meaningful cause, enjoy delicious food, and hear an important message. Don’t miss out!
