Indulge a two room Argentine Tango Saturday traditional Milonga Ball with a show & Alternative tango or fuse styles like Modern Blues evening. Plus afternoon workshops with international Maestro Pablo Nievas and Florencia Fraschina, medal winner gymnastics dance coach Sonia Pavlova, musical magic with Matthew Podesta and I will do my bit too.
The traditional Milonga Ball will be in tandas by the internationally experienced tango DJ Bruce Cannon. If you like Alternative tango or fused with other styles such as modern blues, this is covered with emotional sounds by the wonderful Hannah Cooper.
Location; The Madeley Centre, New Road, Madeley, Crewe CW3 9DN. 15 minutes from M6 junction 16. Free parking available on-site and on the roads nearby. There is room on the car park if early enough for a few motor homes (no hook-up).
And there is more! Now a FREE workshop that all dancers to any style of music will benefit. We welcome Matthew Podesta (my son) into our tango music world who is a senior acoustic consultant in his industry who studied sound and music technology along with elements of psychoacoustics. Matthew is going to lace us with music structure that will enable us to sync our dancing closer to the music sounds putting our dance into another realm.

The additional workshop for just an extra £10. How would you like to add some tango poses into the dance during moments of pauses or at the end? Some subtle and some more dramatic. Well, if you do, we have someone special joining me to coach and give guidance to create some tango poses, so they feel and look amazing. We have the wonderful Sonia Pavlova who is an experienced show style tango dancer and a world class gymnastics dance coach and medal winner. Another one that will add even more creativity to your dance.
Workshops are suitable for new to tango dancers though to experienced dancers, but not suitable for absolute beginner to Argentine tango.

Saturday 3rd May 12.45pm doors open.
1.15-2.15pm Tango finish poses (Extra workshop £10) with Alex and Sonia. This workshop will cover tango poses that can be used at the close of a track or during pauses. Guidance into how to lead and follow such subtle and more dramatic poses.
2.30– 3.15 Musicality with Matthew - As this audience based workshop is an important workshop for all dancers it us now FREE. This is a rare musicality workshop from a professional who understands sound and music structures. This precious knowledge and participation will enhance the dance as you will begin to predict music changes even if you have never heard of the track.
3.30-4.45 Pablo & Florencia workshop 2 covering milonga. So, after your sit down with Matthew, let’s get more energised to learn more about this fun dance so it will become a dance style you will be itching to dance to.
5.00-6.15pm Pablo & Florencia workshop 3 covering tango pattern to pick out technics that you can use within the dance. Having such world Argentine tango coaching experts teaching such technics is something to embrace.
6.15-7.30pm Time to rest and socialise before the evenings music begins. Included in the price price is a hot buffet style bap meal with vegan option, tea and coffee. A bar drinks voucher will be given to Saturday workshop attendees to choice of a beer, wine or a soft drink from the bar.
7.30 – 11.45pm the main hall will be waiting for you with a traditional Milonga by Bruce Cannon who will take you into an Argentine tango splendour of a sophisticated evening ball. Florencia and Pablo will perform their spectacular show dances for you during the evening too.
8.00-11.30pm the second room will be full of music that will encourage you to express your dancing emotions whether its tango, blues, fused or anywhere else the music takes you by Hannah Copper.
Bar with bar snacks will be open during the evening.
2x workshop 2 & 3, buffet hot bap meal, bar drink and Milonga Ball plus second room alternative tango/or your style is £65 booked in advance.
1x workshop number 3, social bap hot meal, bar drink and evening Milonga Ball including second room alternative tango/your style room and show only is £50 booked in advance. (without meal and bar drink £38)
Evening milonga ball plus second room only £18 in advance or £20 cash only on entrance.
