PRIDE ROAMING REPORTER! - With The Reporters Academy (Ages 16-25)

We are looking for a group of young people 16-25 to form a social reporting team during Youth Pride this summer.
You’ll have a full day training, be supported at the event and then have a final session to edit all your brilliant content together. If you fancy trying something new - get involved!
No experience necessary - come and join us on these dates:

1. Wednesday 26th August: 10:00 am -4:00 pm
2. Saturday 29th August: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
3. Wednesday 2nd September: 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
   

Session 1: Interview - Interview for video.
Learn how to be confident asking questions @ MediaCity
Session 2: Record - Make the most of smartphone filming.
Learn the basics and top tips for capturing event action @Youth Pride/ The Proud Place
Session 3: Make Content - Use free smartphone editing apps.
Learn how to edit and craft social content from raw footage @MediaCity
During the training, you’ll be supported by Hope, Rosie and Katy from The Reporters’ Academy, together making films and social media content.
You’ll have fun interviewing people, capturing Youth Pride in all its wonderful glory and showcasing it for all to see.
This summer project will provide you with new transferable employability skills, new creative strengths and a unique insight into the world of social reporting.
