Thursday April 2nd is the day before Easter Friday and no one works Easter Friday, so we are gonna have a dance party. These 3 veteran dance floor technicians are gonna light it up for us. House Music specialists, these three are sure to give us what we need to get deep into it on the dance floor. From midtempo melters, through deep Detroit and Chicago jams- adding jack and bump to the mix as the dance floor fills, this will be a classic for the mind, body and soul.

A staple of Vancouver Island’s underground house music scene, known for deep house journeys that wander confidently through the genre’s foundations and offshoots, spontaneously gliding into the unexpected. He is also known for immersive marathon DJ sets, creating space to play with the relationship between subtle tension and cathartic release — with more than a few surprises — risking it all for frisson.
Currently, he holds a residency at The Downbeat with Public Hearing! and hosts a weekly radio show of the same name on Sooke Community Radio. He has recently headlined Victoria’s legendary R.U.S.H. party and played an all-night-long set at Victoria’s beloved Lucky Bar. Over the past 22 years, Natty has shared bills with and/or promoted countless shows featuring a plethora of the industry’s heavyweights, and has played virtually every festival on Vancouver Island and every dance-centric club in Victoria. He’s also a member of the notorious Big Head Knights (with local legends Mr. Moe, Thom Banks, and Matt Rose) — a long-standing party now in its 21st year.
By day, Natty is a commercial real estate broker helping secure permanent homes for local arts and culture spaces — earning the moniker “The Night Mayor.”

mr.b’s uncompromising blend of house and breaks is not to be missed. B’s sets are best experienced long form. His real talent lies in teasing out the connections between the various strains of underground dance music he has been steeped in for the better part of his life. From House, Bass and Techno to Disco, Funk and Rock, often dusting off well-worn but forgotten favourites, Mr.B consistently delivers a smooth selection geared for discerning audiences. Over the years residencies in Calgary and Victoria and his long involvement with Shambhala Music Festival have honed his eclectic style- reminiscent of and inspired by legendary artists such as mr. scruff and Mark Farina. A veteran of Shambhala’s Village Stage since 2008, now working with the Living Room, his yearly sets have garnered a dedicated following of left field aficionados that yearn to lighten up the space.

Pushing the DJ and rave lifestyle in the Pacific Northwest since 2000, supporting the community by creating a slew of residencies, coordinating gigs for other DJs, promoting shows and developing the culture through platforms like Party People Sound Solutions, Primitive Hustle, Footwork Entertainment and PK Sound Victoria.
