Preserving Family Histories plus using Find A Grave
Are you a fan of watching Finding Your Roots on PBS? Have you wondered how to start the search for your roots, or have you started the search and need some tips on how to get past a brick wall? Then please join the Preserving Family Histories plus using Find A Grave class hosted by the Carolyn Close Stuart Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). In this hour-long class we will start with a family tree exercise, talk about why you should preserve your family history, provide some tips on how to start with research and record keeping, the best places to search, and information about lineage societies. Following that portion of the class there is an overview on how to use the Find A Grave application to research family histories, and of course, a question and answer segment at the end of the class.
