This is the story of Room 8 – an utterly delightful tale (or is that tail) about a cat that captured the imagination and hearts of the kids and adults who were privileged to spend time with him.
For sixteen years during school days, Room 8 roamed the hallways of Elysian Heights Elementary and at night, would disappear into the hills, only to reappear once the morning bell rang.
Author/speaker Brenda Rees is a journalist with decades of experience showcasing her versatility and unending curiosity. In addition to The LA Times, Westways Magazine, Arroyo Monthly, Edible San Fernando Valley, Pomona College Magazine and more, she edits newsletters, simplifies complex academic case studies and is a columnist for The Eastsider LA, an online news publication.
