While Bradley G. Courtney was researching for his books about the history of Prescott’s Whiskey Row, he began noticing the many connections Prescott and Tombstone shared, on both sides of the world-famous Tombstone dramas of 1881-82. From Doc Holliday and Virgil Earp to John Behan and Frank Stillwell, and so much more. Courtney is now in the process of researching and writing a series of books and articles illuminating the tied histories of Prescott and Tombstone. Bradley will be sharing some of those discoveries with the Prescott Corral of Westerners, an organization dear to his heart.
Bradley G. Courtney is an independent historian who lived and taught in Phoenix, Arizona, for nineteen years, and on the Navajo Indian Reservation in northern Arizona for twelve years. For six of those years, he was also a riverboat pilot and guide who gave tours down the incomparable canyons of the Colorado River. He holds a master’s degree in history from California State University and has written five books regarding the history of Whiskey Row. Bradley’s current book project is Doc Holliday in Prescott with a tentative release date during Prescott’s Frontier Days 2027.
