Prescott Teen Automotive Workshop
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Students will learn the fundamentals of automotive electrical systems through hands-on activities and demonstrations. Topics include:
* How batteries, starters, and alternators work together
* Basic electrical circuits and automotive wiring
* Safe use of a digital multimeter (DVOM)
* Testing batteries and electrical components
* Understanding fuses, relays, and common electrical problems
* Basic troubleshooting techniques
* Introduction to reading wiring diagrams
No prior experience is required.

Roadside Safety & Emergency Preparedness
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
This hands-on workshop teaches students practical skills to handle common roadside situations safely and confidently. Topics include:
* What to do when a vehicle breaks down
* Vehicle safety checks before a trip
* How to safely jump-start a vehicle
* Changing a flat tire and identifying proper jack points
* Understanding dashboard warning lights
* Building a roadside emergency kit
* Communicating effectively with repair shops and tow companies
* Staying safe while waiting for assistance
No prior automotive experience is required.
