U4 - for players born in 2022 - meets on Saturdays at 9:30am-10:15pm. All practices / games are held at Eastman Park on Field D.U4 teams are formed based on age, schools and player requests - and are coached by volunteers (typically parents).
The U4 players' needs are different from older players. The focus is solely on fun and participation. Because concepts of playing cooperatively and sharing are still developing, players do not play actual games vs another team. The U4 program includes drills and activities that introduce players to the game, a coach and playing with other kids.
Players will need athletic wear, socks, shin guards (required), soccer cleats, a size 3 ball and a water bottle. Each player receives a team jersey.
The 7-week program meets September 13 - November 1. Registration is required at tricitiesunited.org
