In this Rört class, we combine elements from yoga, pilates, dance and exercises focused on preparing the body and mind for both the ongoing pregnancy and the forthcoming birth. The classes typically involve an element of strength to support the body, a general invitation for intuitive movements to unfold and a softness for the nervous system. Most importantly, I seek to create a safe space for you to move, to get curious about the body that is changing rapidly, to find your way to a feeling of bodily autonomy and a community of women who each in their own unique way are on the same journey as you <3
All pregnant bodies are welcome in this class.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Thit Schmidt: Today I spend the majority of my time creating communities and networks of support for women across background, culture and societal position. Movement has always played a central role in my everyday life, and I started growing up with a wide range of practices ranging from competitive gymnastics to kayaking and dance, but with yoga, I found a practice that invited for more than just a physical focus – and with prenatal yoga and as a doula I found a space that combined my love for movement with my (massive and ever-growing) interest and curiosity for all things women- and birth-related.
