Prayers, People, Inlet: Keep the Burrard Inlet Safe from Dredging

Today the waters of the Burrard Inlet are under threat.

A proposal to dredge beneath the Second Narrows Bridge would disturb the seafloor to move more oil through this place, undoing years of careful healing. Eel grass has returned, herring have come back to spawn, salmon, seals and whales have returned in great numbers.

Dredging is not just digging. It stirs up hundreds of toxic chemicals that should remain at rest.

Bring your friends, neighbours, community, parents, children and come together in learning, prayer, and action for the health of the inlet.
