About this Event
As winter softens into early spring, we gather in the forest to practice what poet Mary Oliver called "attention without feeling"—a way of loving that asks nothing in return. Through guided forest walking and contemplative writing, we'll tend to our relationships with the more-than-human world: the moss underfoot, the unseen fungi weaving connection beneath our steps, and more. This 90-minute experience invites child-like wonder (What if trees could read our letters?) alongside adultful respect (How do we honor what we cannot fully understand?). You'll leave with simple practices for solo nature communion with nature. Lastly, if you wish, we will continue the conversation over coffee and sweets at a local café nearby. No previous writing experience required—only a willingness to listen.
