Dharma Recovery Space Coast
My name is Stacy and I facilitate several Recovery Dharma based meetings in Brevard.
Many who are drawn to Dharma either did not resonate with 12 Step groups OR they are looking to deepen their spiritual connection with meditation with or without other programs
Recovery Dharma is a Buddhist inspired approach to recovery from addictions of all kinds.
And while alcohol and drugs are some, so is codependency, work, food, shopping, gambling, worry, chaos, negative, thought loops, drama, Internet, religious trauma and the list can go on… and one usually leads to the other.
Our codependency issues send us to alcohol or drugs or food
Our negative thought loops send us to food or alcohol or doomscrolling
Our excessive worry sends us to shopping and so on….

We are meditation based. 🧘
We are trauma informed. 🪷
We know shame and guilt are not good motivators. 🫶🏻
We know that we can believe in the power in ourselves to change and heal, no God is required. Only your own divinity. 👑☀️
These meetings are “love donation” or as we say in Buddhist terms “Dana” based.
Dana is the practice of generosity.
What it is: 🕉️
Generosity is the first of the ten parami, or qualities of character, that the Buddha taught his students to cultivate.
Why we do it: ☸️
The practice of generosity (time, money, energy) develops lovingkindness and compassion, deepens awareness of our interconnectedness and encourages non-attachment for teacher and student.
