Proscenium Players Inc. proudly presents The Guys, the acclaimed and deeply moving drama by Anne Nelson, at the Brewery Arts Center's Maizie (Black Box) Theater.
Written in the aftermath of the events of September 11, 2001, The Guys tells the story of Nick, a New York City fire captain struggling to write eulogies for the eight firefighters he lost, and Joan, a writer who volunteers to help him find the words. Through humor, heartbreak, and quiet moments of humanity, the two forge an unexpected connection while honoring the lives of "the guys" whose courage and spirit continue to inspire. Based on the playwright's real experiences, this powerful two-person drama is a moving tribute to resilience, remembrance, and the healing power of storytelling.
Starring Ken McIntyre and Danielle Pearson, this intimate production will be performed:
