For over 10 years, we have provided a supportive space for women who juggle numerous roles ~ caregivers, survivors, leaders, mothers, and those who are rebuilding their lives after facing challenges. I’ve observed how infrequently they are given a moment to breathe, be nurtured, or just rest. Power of the Pause was established to grant women that cherished opportunity: a day to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and acknowledge their own value. This retreat is my heartfelt gift to a community of women who deserve restoration as much as they selflessly give to others.

Across San Diego, countless women are living in constant fight‑or‑flight, not by choice, but because life has demanded it. Many are carrying unprocessed trauma, financial pressure, single‑parenting, caregiving, and the emotional labor of holding families and communities together. Their bodies stay on alert. Their nervous systems never get to rest.

This survival mode shows up as exhaustion, irritability, anxiety, emotional shutdown, and disconnection. And while women carry these heavy loads, traditional wellness spaces often overlook their realities, offering quick fixes to those already stretched beyond capacity. Power of the Pause is designed with this woman in mind.
