Introduced species, disease, and habitat loss continue to threaten these native fish, and natural sites suitable for reintroductions are limited.
Join Brett Montgomery, Topminnow/Pupfish Specialist for the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD), as he pulls from a decade’s worth of experience in southwestern aquatic ecosystems to provide a close look at these imperiled fish. During this presentation, you’ll also learn about the USFWS’ Safe Harbor Program, a collaboration with AZGFD and private landowners to put private lands to work for threatened and endangered species.
The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the potluck dinner beginning at about 5:30 p.m. (we'll announce when it's time to eat!). The presentation will immediately follow the meal. Come join us, invite a friend, and bring a dish to share. We also have a collection bin for food items to donate to the Santa Cruz food bank!
