South Africans in Calgary come and enjoy a classic South African braai in a lakeside setting.

• Date: Sunday, 28 June 2026
• Time: 11:30 – 17:00
• Location: Midnapore Lake, Calgary (Private property, access by registration only)
• Hosts: Erwin & Nadine
We’ve secured the cook shack again, and the braai pits will be lit and ready by lunchtime.
What to Bring:
• 🥩 Your Own Meat: Whether it’s a juicy steak, boerewors, lamb chops, tender chicken, or veggie skewers, bring whatever you love to braai!
• 🥗 A Dish to Share: We need a variety of side dishes & desserts. (bring a portion suitable for your party)
• Your own beverages (non alcoholic only! Lake rule!)
• Outdoor essentials:
- Foldable chairs
- Hats & sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- Swimsuits & towels
💡 Electricity Available: If you need to plug in a crockpot or similar, power is available.

This is a private event with limited capacity.

🚫 No Alcohol & No Glass Containers: Let's keep it family-friendly and safe, bring non-alcoholic beverages of your choice, but please avoid bringing glass containers for safety reasons.
🍵 Provided: We’ll have plastic drinking glasses, cutlery, disposable plates, as well as coffee, tea, sugar, and milk available for everyone.
