Potion Masters Mixology Class

Have you always been interested in what's behind the bar? We know the feeling! Our manager Jennifer has been bartending for 26 years from all over, collecting experience in the most diverse styles of bartending. It's not just about tossing some stuff in a glass anymore, it's a form of art. From the smell, to the texture, from the taste to the temperature and look of the cocktail. Every part of the drink matters.
You may walk into a bar and not even know what to order, or you may be someone who is a consort of a spirit, either way, we will show you all the history, appreciation and art, mixology has to offer.
Along with learning some really fun drinks, you will also hear stories that include the history of the drinks, and the spirits, liquors and ingredients being used. Maybe a pop quiz here and there to see how much you remember! You will see different utensils and techniques that can make all the difference to a great hand crafted cocktail.
We just want you to come. There is no initial cost. We suggest that you purchase at least one drink, and we do ask that you kindly tip the instructor. You can purchase drinks and food during, before and after. You will get to try little samples of drinks made of course. How would you know if you like it or not!
The biggest way to help us, is to tag yourself at the BrewLounge on Facebook when you get there. Take some pics, show us off! We don't mind, we are not shy! At the BrewLounge we are working hard to outreach and connect with our amazing local community. We just need more people like you to show us off to the world!
Keep an eye on the events for each Sunday, they could be themed. And yes, she does like to flip bottles and play with fire so be prepared for some flare!
This event is not hands on for the customers. But it is very interactive and fun. Jennifer may ask you to help her do something but it would be at your seat. So no fear, she won't ask anyone to come up and perform on stage. Just some interaction, some laughs, a little stirring, lots of shaking and of course don't forget the tasting.
Things to remember. You must be 21 to consume alcohol!!! Our establishment is very family friendly, but we remind everyone that no one under 21 is allowed to sit at the bar. If you are carded by our bartender please don't be offended, first off she loves her job and her customers. Second, one day you will be really excited to be carded!
