Throughout this six-week course, Fay will share the techniques she has refined over her long career, helping students understand facial proportions, structure, expression, tone and achieving a convincing likeness. Drawing on her unique experience capturing people in courtroom settings, she will demonstrate how careful observation and confident mark-making can bring a portrait to life.

Fay Plamka is an award-winning portrait artist and former courtroom illustrator whose work has appeared with Channel 7, the ABC and international news organisations. With more than 50 years of professional artistic experience, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge and inspiring others to develop their creative skills.
