Dying to Know Day – A welcoming community forum to help start important conversations about death, dying and planning ahead.
Join Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Positive Ageing Team and community partners for Dying to Know Day 2026, a free community information forum encouraging open, practical and compassionate conversations about death, dying, grief and end-of-life planning.
The forum will be held in person at Peninsula Community Theatre and will also be live streamed for those who prefer to join online. When booking, please indicate whether you will attend in person or via the webinar.
Dying to Know Day is part of a national campaign that supports people to talk more openly about their wishes, values and choices. These conversations can help reduce uncertainty for families and loved ones, and make it easier to plan for the future with confidence and care.
The 2026 national campaign theme is “Nobody Knows” — a reminder that if we do not share our end-of-life wishes, the people closest to us may be left guessing. This event offers a safe and supportive space to learn, ask questions and consider what matters most.
