The September opening at the Portland Art Gallery features new work from four artists: Christopher O'Connor, Carlos Gamez de Francisco, Dale O. Roberts, and Nina Fuller.
Reception Thursday, September 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at 154 Middle Street in Portland's Old Port, with hors d'oeuvres and time to meet the artists in person.
The exhibition runs August 25 through September 21.
Irish-born and Windham, Maine-based, Christopher creates paintings rooted in the natural world, drawn to the angular formations of Maine's rocky shore and the abstract patterns within.
