Conversations in Burgundy: Exploring Côte de Beaune
About this Event
Discover the legendary Côte de Beaune, the southern half of Burgundy’s famed Côte d’Or, where some of the world’s most celebrated Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are born. While this remarkable region encompasses hundreds of vineyards across 18 communes, this tasting will focus on a carefully curated selection that highlights its extraordinary diversity.
We’ll begin with two Chardonnays from Saint-Aubin, exploring how this once-overlooked appellation has emerged as one of Burgundy’s best sources for exceptional quality and value. From there, we’ll compare wines from neighboring Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault, examining how terroir and winemaking shape two of the region’s most iconic expressions of Chardonnay.
The second half of the evening turns to Pinot Noir, featuring four distinctive wines from Blagny, Volnay, and Pommard. Together, these wines reveal the remarkable range of styles found within just a few miles of Burgundy’s most celebrated vineyards.
The wines will be served alongside a spread of seasonal bites prepared by Chef Jess Lalumiere.
