This free, self-guided event invites the public to step inside the working studios of eleven talented regional glass artists at six locations and explore a remarkable variety of glass art forms. Visitors will have the opportunity to view and purchase original artwork, meet the artists, and gain insight into the creative processes behind their work. Many participating artists will offer demonstrations and educational presentations, providing a rare behind-the-scenes look at techniques such as stained glass, fused glass, torchwork (lampworking), mosaics, and kiln-formed glass art. The Pacific NW Glass Guild's Open Studios events traditionally feature artist demonstrations and opportunities for visitors to learn about the many ways glass can be transformed into fine art.
