Samantha Sambrooke here - maybe you’ve heard, but I’m a part of the Dancing with the Stars fundraiser this year for Hospice PEI. The big event is October 25th at the Florence Simmons Hall.
My goal is to raise $5000 before the big show. To help get there, I’m offering 4 mini workshops. These 2 hour classes will be a mix of lecture/discussion and practice.
This one is called “Sun Salutation Breakdown”. Here you will learn:
- What is the history behind the Sun Salutation sequence?
- Which poses are involved and how does breath, mantra and marma points play a role?
- How many different ways are there to practice it?
- How can I modify if necessary?
Come prepared to move. Bring or borrow a Yoga mat if you have one. There is a limited supply in studio. All other props as well as chairs are available. These sessions are open to all!
I’m a Yoga Therapist specializing in Somatic Yoga and Yoga for Mental health. I also run the Maritime Yoga School on PEI.
