Come paint your furry, feathered, or scaly best friend in this drop-in class! Ages 14+Once-monthly, ongoing class: 4th Mondays, 6:30pm - 9:00pm. $44.
Ages 14+ (ages 10-13, if accompanied by an adult)
**NOTE: If interested in attending, please register and send your reference photo to [email protected] no later than 6PM THE SATURDAY before class, to give Jessica enough time to sketch out your pet. If we do not receive your reference photo by 6PM THE SATURDAY before the session for which you're registered, we may ask to move you to the next available session. Thank you!

Come paint your furry, feathered, or scaly baby in this fun, beginner-friendly class! Jessica, our skilled instructor, will walk you through each step of the process to help you create a wonderful, pop art-style portrait of your pet. You'll learn about the basics of acrylic painting, from mixing paints, to color theory and layering, while exploring the fun style of pop art!
You'll walk out of the Cat with more acrylic experience, knowledge, and an adorable painting of your bff--that also serves as the perfect gift for the animal-lover in your life!
Before class, you'll send Jessica the picture you'd like to paint so she can work her magic by sketching out guidelines on your canvas, allowing you to spend more class time painting. All supplies are included, so after emailing Jessica your reference photo, you just have to show up and paint! Come as often as you like and as your schedule allows... Practice makes better!
All supplies will be provided. Optional items to bring:
- Layered clothing
- Bottled water
About your instructor:
Jessica is classically trained artist, with BFA in concept design and visual development from Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She has spent over 10 years working as freelance illustrator and fine artist. She now works in multiple mediums including watercolor, acrylics, and water soluble oils, and teaches lots of our drawing and painting classes at "the Cat!"
