What happens when you slow down and really look at the world around you?Join us at Art Source Gallery this May for Upon Closer Reflection, a new collection of watercolor paintings by Beth Trott. Inspired by moments found in nature (from weathered rock formations to frost-covered plants) this series begins with observation and gradually moves toward abstraction, allowing color, movement, and pattern to take on a life of their own.
This is work rooted in a simple idea: that the beauty of the natural world is something we all share. These paintings invite you to pause, look a little closer, and maybe see something you didn’t notice before.

Enjoy an evening in Boise’s Linen District, right next to Rediscovered Books and Alavita, and experience a new body of work that celebrates the connection between nature, observation, and creativity.
The exhibition runs May 5–30, with both new paintings and selected works from the series on view.
