The summer heat can be hard on our wildlife ponds, so we're getting together to give them a helping hand.
On Saturday 4th July at 9am, we'll be topping up and maintaining one of our three wildlife ponds to make sure they continue providing water for the birds, insects, amphibians and other wildlife that depend on them.
If you've got an hour or two to spare, we'd really appreciate the help. No experience is needed, and all equipment is provided – just wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit muddy and some sturdy footwear.
It's a relaxed morning, a chance to meet other volunteers, get some fresh air, and do something positive for Colwick Woods.
We'd love to see some new faces as well as our regular volunteers.

The more hands we have, the quicker the job gets done, and the more water we can get back into the ponds for the wildlife 🐸
