About this Event
A new government takes office in 2024. What will it inherit? What’s the state of Britain after years of political mayhem, government incompetence and scarring austerity? And where do we go from here?
In their new book, the two acclaimed journalists have compiled an essential guide to the state of the nation. From health, housing and transport, to education, criminal justice and more, they explore what years under Conservative rule have done to our country, and set out how our next government should face these crises.
Join them, with the Guardian’s special correspondent Heather Stewart, for a galvanising conversation about the changes and ideas that could restore British voters’ faith in politics.
