Join us for a morning at the Hausmann Nature Center on Saturday, July 18 from 10 to 11 AM as we explore the fascinating world of Wisconsin’s native pollinators. From hardworking bumblebees to graceful butterflies and even nocturnal moths, these small but mighty creatures play a vital role in keeping our ecosystems, farms, and communities thriving.
We’ll take a journey through the pollinator world, starting with familiar favorites like hummingbirds and butterflies, then shining a light on the often overlooked but equally important beetles, ants, and even mosquitoes. Along the way, you’ll learn how to recognize common species, understand the challenges they face, and discover simple ways to support them right in your own backyard.
Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a gardener, or simply curious, this is a chance to see and appreciate the natural world in a whole new way.
The cost of the event is $8 per person, with proceeds supporting the Waukesha County Land Conservancy, a nonprofit land trust, and the Hausmann Nature Center's educational programs.
