Mon-Wed 9:00 - NoonAll about ART! Our three-day camps feature a large project each day and one or two smaller projects each camp. Each day we take a break outside for fun and games. Water and a snack will be provided daily. (You can send a snack if you prefer.)
Our favorite part of the day is when we see your child's "I made this face."
Each camp includes:
Variety - each project uses different media and different skill so that participants have multiple experiences.
Use of professional quality art tools and materials in a variety of media as well as instruction by Soul Fire veterans who are student teachers / trained artists.
Additional Info:
Camps are open to those who have completed grades 1 and up. Last years campers ranged from 6 - 14 with the majority in the 7-10 range.
Please verify that you are comfortable with the various project media. We provide PPE, but glass is sharp.
Art is messy - please dress appropriately!
Projects may change due to the availability of supplies but will stay in the same media and projects are not repeated. Projects for this camp are listed above. Projects for all the three-day camps are listed below.
Projects for June 22 - 24:
Students will create three unique projects, each in a different medium. In clay, they’ll hand-build a whimsical pencil holder. In fused glass, they’ll design extra-tall garden stakes to brighten any outdoor space. They’ll also explore mixed media printmaking, using techniques like linocutting and gel printing to create original prints.
Projects for July 6–8:
Students will create three unique projects in different mediums. In clay, they’ll hand-build a charming sailboat. In fused glass, they’ll design strand sun catchers—multiple individual pieces hung together in a beautiful vertical display. They’ll also paint their pet or favorite animal on a canvas bag, creating a fun and functional work of art.
Projects for July 20–22:
Students will create three unique projects in different mediums. In clay, they’ll hand-build a vase complete with decorative flowers on wire stems. In fused glass, they’ll design a wreath bowl or sun catcher. They’ll also explore mono-printing techniques, adding their own drawings to pottery for a one-of-a-kind finish.
Projects for August 10–12:
Students will create three unique projects in different mediums. In clay, they’ll hand-build a whimsical hot air balloon hanging. In fused glass, they’ll create dot-pattern votives that glow beautifully when lit. They’ll also learn stoneware painting techniques to design stunning blue stoneware bowls.
Projects for August 18–20:
Students will create three unique projects in different mediums. In fused glass, they’ll make multiple sun catchers that can be strung together to create a flowing design inspired by a watering can or pouring cup. Painting on bisque, they’ll design a sgraffito-style river rock bowl. They’ll also create a custom canvas tote using a variety of mixed media techniques.
