Did you know that one out of every three bites of food we eat depends on pollinators? In this interactive Pollinator Workshop, students will discover the fascinating world of native pollinators and honeybees — and learn how they can help protect them right in their own backyard.
This hands-on class explores:
🌼 The difference between native pollinators and honeybees
🐝 How bees, butterflies, and other insects support our food system
🌱 Why native plants matter
🌎 Simple ways families can make a real impact
Students won’t just learn — they’ll create.
Each participant will:
Make their own wildflower seed bombs using pollinator-friendly native seeds
Build a native bee house to take home and install
Leave with practical knowledge and tools to support pollinators in their own yard
With guided instruction, interactive discussion, and creative projects, this workshop blends science, stewardship, and hands-on fun in a way that sticks.
Children will walk away not just informed — but empowered.
Because when kids understand how the world works, they begin to see how they can care for it. Tag-a-longs under 3 are free as are Parents who will help their child with their projects.
