Pollinator Pathways
About this Event
In this interactive workshop, Edel of The Mediocre Gardener (www.mediocregardener.com) will show participants how to plan a small garden bed that supports nature throughout the year.
The workshop will cover how to assess the sunlight, moisture, soil, and size of a planting space; select plants suited to those conditions; and combine plants using approachable garden-design principles such as grouping, repetition, height, texture, and seasonal interest.
During the class, participants will have an opportunity to plot out a sample pollinator bed and consider which plants and habitat roles would be most useful in their own garden.
Participants will leave with practical ideas for creating their own link in a pollinator pathway, along with plant recipe cards for building a Pollinator Pit Stop, Caterpillar Café, Bird Buffet, or Stormwater Sponge.
