DIY Cyanotype Printing

Harness the power of the sun to create a stunning 8" x 10"cyanotype (a camera-less photographic print) that you will frame and take home.
About this Event

Instructors will provide you with a brief history of the cyanotype and walk you through the process of creating a print, including:

• Preparing your paper with a special cyanotype solution;

• Composing a design using an assortment of natural materials;

• Allowing your image to develop in the sun; and

• Washing and setting the print so that it is ready to frame.

Not only will you leave this workshop with a beautiful piece of artwork ready to hang, you’ll be ready to replicate the process at home with the knowledge you’ve gained! (These prints would make excellent holiday gifts for those of you thinking ahead.)
