About this Event

Domestic garden represents a scalable, low-cost, and highly distributed climate adaptation strategy for London. However, increasing garden paving for parking, low maintenance, or aesthetic preferences has contributed to higher surface runoff, reduced biodiversity, and increased urban heat exposure. While scientific evidence is strong, policy coherence and implementation mechanisms remain underdeveloped.

This Policy Lab provides a critical step toward translating evidence into coordinated, actionable policy across London’s landscape.
