Police In The Park

Police in the Park is one of the many ways the Owensboro Police Department strengthens relationships with the community through proactive community policing. These events give residents an opportunity to meet officers in a relaxed and family-friendly environment, ask questions, share concerns, and build positive connections with those who serve their neighborhoods. OPD officers provides grilled hot dogs, chips, and cold lemonade. We want to spend time visiting with community members, playing games with the kids and make ourselves available outside of emergency situations. Through events like Police in the Park, we continue our commitment to fostering trust, encouraging open communication, and building strong partnerships that help make Owensboro a safer and more connected community.
