Clear Lake Polar Bear Plunge 2024Join us for the Clear Lake Polar Bear Plunge 2024 – the most exhilarating event of the year! Get ready to take the plunge into the icy waters of City Beach and experience an unforgettable adrenaline rush. This event is perfect for seasoned plungers and brave first-timers alike. Embrace the cold, challenge yourself, and create some warm-hearted memories!
Registration is a donation to the local Toys for Tots + Compassionate Connections + Kids & Families in Need (a cool local organization that makes sure kids get what they need to get through their day).
A minimum donation of $60 will get you 2024 Polar Bear Plunge (navy blue crew neck) Sweatshirt.
Shirt sizes guaranteed until November 3. After that, it will be first come first serve on remaining extra sizes we order (S-2XL). Pick-up will be available when you check-in.
*Day of Schedule*
10:30 AM: Check-in/Registration and pre-party for Plungers at the VFW in Clear Lake. (Includes 1 free drink ticket from the VFW!)
12:00 PM: Check-in/Registration moves to the Yacht Club
12:30 PM: Plungers take the plunge!
1:00 PM: Warming Party at Tap'd (Tap'd will have a live band to enjoy!)
Warming tents will be onsite to change afterwards. When you check-in, you can provide your team name in order to be announced to plunge together. Fun costumes or outfits encouraged but not required.
Toe Dippers Club
Want the sweet sweatshirt but don't want to fully commit to jumping in the lake? Join our Toe Dippers Club. You still get the swag, still get to attend the pre-party/post-party, still get the cold sensation with a tip of your foot, and our charities still get your support, its win-win-win.
Tips for First Timers
- Pack a towel and water shoes
- Wear your swimsuit under your clothes
- Bring easy to get into warm clothes (and shoes!) for after the Plunge
- For your own safety, never dive into the water
- Bring a plastic bag for wet clothes, and somewhere to store your dry clothes
- Have fun!
Notes
By purchasing a ticket for this event, you are required to sign a waiver at registration.
In case of cancellation due to weather, all registrations will be considered a donation to our charities, but we still distribute your swag to you.
