The third Saturday of each month, The Pack Racks hosts Pokemon Cubed Chaos Draft play. This format does have a purchase element. As such, participation and placement points are awarded for seasonal Pokemon league play. Prizes given in connection to the point structure for the league play are separate from any additional prizes that may be awarded at any Pokemon event.
A Pokémon Cube Draft is a customized, reusable draft format where players create a curated set of cards (a "Cube")—often 360 to 720+ cards—to function as a personalized, draftable set. Instead of opening sealed booster packs, players split the shuffled cube into smaller "pseudo-packs" (usually 10–15 cards), draft them, and build decks to play.
Key Aspects of the Format
Customization: You choose every card in the cube, allowing you to create specific strategies, archetypes, and balance that you cannot get in standard sets.
Reusability:
The cube stays together and is drafted multiple times, offering a cost-effective way to play.
Draft Process:
Usually, players (typically 4–8) get three 15-card packs, pick one card, and pass the pack.
Deck Building:
Players typically build 40-card decks using the drafted cards, plus basic Energy provided separately.
Design Philosophy: Cubes often feature a mix of archetypes, high-quality trainers, and balanced evolution lines.
Common Customizations
Singleton:
The most common form, where every card in the cube is unique.
Set Limitation:
Many cubes focus on a specific era, such as focusing on EX or GX cards for power.
Alternative Rules: Often, people play with 4 prizes instead of 6 to speed up games.

For The Pack Rack's version of this; players will provide 100-200 cards (suggest basic, low value cards) as part of the cube, and will purchase at least 10-10ct house packs (cost of $10 total), for an additional 100 cards to add to the cube. Players can choose to keep most of the cube intact, and kept in the shop for future use, or divide the cards back up. The number of cards in the cube, if kept in tact, would be reduced by the # of cards added from purchased repacks, as this is intended to be repeated monthly. The reduced cards can be divided up by players as they see fit.
Players in need of selling bulk, should the shop have need, and in a position to buy: we offer $0.06 per common basic, and $0.10 for basic foils, holos, reverse foils, etc...
