Many of you know Noah and his story, but for those who do not, Noah is a 28-year-old husband, father, and nurse whose life has recently changed in a way no young family ever expects.
Noah is married to his wife, McKenzie, who is also a nurse. Noah is the dad to two precious girls, Reese and Zara. His girls are his whole world, and being their dad means everything to him.
Noah has spent years caring for others as an ICU nurse, helping patients and families through some of the hardest and most vulnerable moments of their lives.
Now, he and his family are facing an incredibly difficult journey of their own.
Noah was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a progressive neurological disease that affects the nerve cells responsible for voluntary muscle movement.
ALS has already taken so much from him. Things that most of us do every day without a second thought have become so difficult. Navigating this diagnosis has completely changed what everyday life looks like for Noah and those who love him.
Through all of this, Noah and McKenzie are doing everything they can to navigate his diagnosis, pursue treatment and resources, and adjust to the changes ALS continues to bring.
So many people have asked how they can help, and that is why this fundraiser was created.
The financial impact of ALS is overwhelming. Between medical care, treatments, travel, equipment, and ongoing mobility and accessibility needs, there are so many expenses that come with a diagnosis like this. Our hope is to take even a small portion of that burden off their shoulders so they can focus their energy on Noah's care and on making the most of their time together as a family.
