Stanley Kusunoki is the author of five collections of poetry; 180 Days—Reflections and Observations of a Teacher, Items in the News, (North Star Press of St. Cloud); Shelter in Place—Poems in a Time of COVID-19, and Social Studies—Poetry as History, Ethics and Journalism, (Polaris Press —an imprint of North Star Press); and Natural Life—A Poetic Field Guide, (Nodin Press) .

The book of the hour is Kusunoki's latest release, Natural Life. It explores a range of themes and emotions, reflecting the remarkable diversity and complexity of the natural world, the flow of life and death, the wonders of human character and social interaction, and its impact on the environment. Some of the poems have an anguished political edge, other touch on such delicate themes as the role of salad Nicoise in nurturing a romantic relationship. Kusunoki is a teacher, and his concern for the future of young minds and spirits rings out through the collection.

Jeanne Lutz. is the author of Until the Kingdom Comes (2022) and Perfect Days (2025), a book of epistolary poems co-written with Lee Kisling.

Marg Walker is a lifelong writer who pursues her abiding interest in the human voice through poetry and choral music. Her two collections of poems are So Surprisingly Light the Small Suitcase of Certainty (2025) and Sitting in Lawn Chairs After a Complicated Day (2020), both from Nodin Press. She also has published an audiobook (Words to Warm the Silences, 2025).

Diane Jarvenpa is the author of The Way She Told her Story, The Tender Wild Things, Divining the Landscape, swift, bright, drift and Ancient Wonders, The Modern World . Her latest book, Shy Lands has been published by Blue Light Press.
