Poetry Out Loud NEO Student Champion Workshop

Student champions are invited to join the Massillon Museum for the Northeast Ohio region's free Student Champion Workshop on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in Gessner Hall.

This informational workshop is geared toward student champions and school or arts organization staff members who will assist champions in preparation for the Northeast Ohio Poetry Out Loud Regional Semifinals. Student champions will learn more about what to expect during the semifinals and will meet some of the Museum staff who will be present in February. Parents and guardians of student champions are also invited to attend.

The Massillon Museum is pleased to serve as the Ohio Arts Council's regional partner for Northeast Ohio. A partnership of the National Endowment for the Arts, Poetry Foundation, and the state and jurisdictional arts agencies, Poetry Out Loud is a national arts education program that encourages the study of great poetry by offering free educational materials and a dynamic recitation competition to high schools and arts organizations across the country.
