July’s optional prompt invites you to write about "Adventure." Adventure doesn't have to mean climbing mountains or traveling to distant places. It can be found in trying something new, taking a leap of faith, getting wonderfully lost, or saying "yes" to an unexpected opportunity. Write about moments that stretched your comfort zone, sparked your curiosity, or reminded you that life is often at its richest when we embrace the unknown. Whether your adventure was epic, humorous, quiet, or deeply personal, explore the experiences that challenged you, surprised you, or changed the way you see the world.
Poetry prompts are optional and just here to help. Feel free to express yourself with any piece you choose—even if it's completely unrelated to the prompt.

Doors open at 6:45 PM, sign-ups will be open on a first-come, first-served basis for all aspiring poets, and poetry readings will commence at 7:00 pm. Whether you’re a polished poet or just starting, we invite you to share your original creations or classic favorites. If performing isn’t your thing, no problem! Come along, enjoy the performances, and cheer on the poets. Let’s make it a night to remember with great words and even greater company!
Drinks and snacks will be provided. All ages are welcome.
