Poetry On The Ave @ B&N - featuring Iz White
About this Event
Poetry on the Ave recap: Each event will feature a local poet who will read and discuss their work. (There will be books for sale.) The mic will then be opened up to anyone who wishes to share a poem*.
Join us to meet a local, published poet and share your work with friends.
This month's poet is Iz White.
Iz White is an enrolled Snoqualmie member, and 3rd generation great-grandson of Chief Patkanim. He is a Native American poet who, through his gritty storytelling, drives social change, humanizing societal inequalities, while highlighting modern Indigenous identity.
He views his performances as a craft that allows him to be brought to the very edge of what it is to exist and come back to express it in words.
